Preparatory activities: We had discussions about water, about certain properties of it, about its importance for humans, animals and the whole nature. We also discussed pollution and water pollution control activities.
Activities: To carry out this experiment, we used the following materials: water, colored candies, plates. The students were grouped into 5 teams.
After receiving the materials, they placed the candies in a circle shape in the plates, then put water in the middle of them. Soon, the colors of the candy began to disperse in the water and also fade, forming a beautiful rainbow on the plate.
Subsequent activities: Students filled in sheets with items related to WATER and ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION.
Results: The students observed certain properties of water by doing this experiment. They were very amazed when they saw how the colors on the candies dispersed in the water. They really liked that they worked as a team.
